In 1066 William, Duke of Normandy, began preparing for an invasion of Britain.
It was to be a war for the Grown as he claimed he had the right to the English

the Normans and the Anglo-Saxons took place at a village near the town now called Hastings.

William I ruled England for 21 years. During the first few years of his reign there
were a lot of rebellions in different parts of the country. It took the King five years to enslave England.
